What am I listening to?

I love classical, but I don’t listen to it often these days because it never fits. For example, I wouldn’t do crunches to Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.

So I’ll open up my Spotify and show you what’s on my top 7. All of these have great melodies (as pop and house music tend to), so I’ve also included the piano sheet music if available. I hope this playlist makes your day brighter!

Paris – Chain Smokers

Sheet Music

It’s just plain catchy! This guy playing piano is a piano student who’s gone on tour with the Chain Smokers because they noticed his videos!

Slow Dancing in a Burning Room – John Mayer

Sheet Music

This cover is a bit slow for my liking, but it’s still nice.

Old School – Urban Cone

So catchy! The chorus makes me dance in my seat.

Last Friday Night – Katy Perry

Sheet Music

The song is about being young and reckless. We’re good kids here but we can still appreciate a great melody!

Beauty and The Beast

Sheet Music

What’s not to love about this sweet song? Beauty and the Beast is one of my favourite Disney princess movies.

Here, I love the magic here so much that I’ve also included the music video from the new movie (which I haven’t seen) below. It’s such a great video.

Beautiful Lies – Jon McLaughlin

Swear Like a Sailor – Tep No

This one is Deep House and makes me wanna dance!

Grace: every link except “Beautiful Lies” errors out on the load! I waited a few days and tried again — with the same result. Full disclosure: I’m using Apple, so maybe that has something to do with it, but… Mike ;)

This is strange… which browser are you using and whereabouts are you located? (I.e. In North America or browsing using a vpn) Sometimes if they can’t detect where you’re coming from, they block the content assuming your country doesn’t have the license to view it. But this is youtube, so theoretically the video should still show a message!

FYI I caught the slight Apple shade there… :D

Also, do you see the video or the link? Hm

  • Reply Mike April 21, 2017 at 9:28 pm

They all look normal; a still video picture with “HTML 5” showing as a square in the middle of each one. When I click on the “HTML 5” the HTML 5 vanishes, the video is otherwise unchanged except that I get the normal grey line across the bottom, with (inside of the grey line) a play symbol and a “black 30” symbol on the left and a volume symbol on the right… also all normal. BUT it almost instantly adds a “Error” followed by the name of the video, for example “Error Tep No – Swear Like A Sailor (Official Video)” on the last one. I’m running Safari 9.0.3. Weird…

Oh — And I’m in Northern California. And not on vpn ;)

AND the one link that works (Beautiful Lies) ALSO says “Uploaded in HD @ tunesToTube.com” (whatever that means)… M ;)

Ok, do videos on http://youtube.com work? I looked it up and sounds like there’s a bug in Safari 9.0.3 refusing to run html5 (youtube videos), or it could be a clashing plugin. Or, do the videos work in, say, Firefox or Chrome, if you also have those browsers? :) I’m in detective mode right now
