When I was having a jaw surgery, I heard this song on my spotify list and sat down at the piano to play a few seconds of it. And a few more seconds. Pop piano music is catchy, after all.
Charlie Puth is a singer-songwriter who first found success on Youtube via viral videos. His other popular songs include “See you again,” “One Call Away,” “We don’t talk anymore” (all of which I’m a fan of!)
I ended up arranging the entire piece by ear. This is my first time writing a full sheet music arrangement so I’d love to know what you think! I’m also giving away the pop piano sheet music. If you like, you can print or teach with this free piano sheet music, but please do not sell it.
The sheet music is around an intermediate level. The melody repeats a lot with new accompaniment in the left hand. There’s a fugue-like section with some counterpoint theory, too.

Applause! Seriously, I was smiling and clapping when you finished the song, Grace. :) I’ve listened to it several times and just now followed along with your sheet music and appreciated it even more to see your handiwork. That was amazing how you did it all by ear and even added your own arrangement. I’m curious, what software did you use for the sheet music transcription?
Thanks, Rosie! You are so kind! I had quite a bit of time on my hands and this was fun to do. I used Sibelius. They have a free trial, so I decided to play around with it. It’s quite easy to use! In the past, I’ve used other software such as Lily. I’m finding that Sibelius is quite easy to use in comparison.
